Yes. Choose Transparent in the PNG export dialog, or choose a solid background color. The preview checkerboard is never baked into the image. Export is limited to 8,192 pixels per side and 16 megapixels total.

The preview uses isolated SVG image mode. Scripts and event handlers do not run, styles cannot affect this page, and external resources are not loaded. Use native SVG elements and embedded raster images. SVG source downloads are unchanged and may contain active content when opened elsewhere.

Self-contained SVG and CSS animations can play in the preview. PNG exports a static initial frame, not the currently displayed frame. Download SVG to keep the animation.

The editor shows the XML error and keeps the last valid preview. PNG export is disabled until the source is valid. You can still download the SVG source to save unfinished work. Files and local drafts are limited to 1 MB.
